During this third week of the month we just scrapbooked. This was our most traditional scrapbooking inspiration for you this month. Just scrapbooking in its purest form. We all tell pieces of stories with Moments. This may have been the first day of school, a special date, milestones or other big moments of our History/Heritage that we just had to share.
Lisa created a custom striped background for her layout that shared an old-school selfie of her and her husband. It was from a time when they had been discussing their future together--and as many of those hopes and dreams eventually came true, it was a moment that was important for her to document.
Wilna used her "story" cutfile to help show off the special relationship that her daughters share, they are her History/Heritage. We loved the way that she clustered embellishments right around the photo, and layered different texts on top of each other.
Jen wanted to create a layout that showcased a special photo she had of her daughter using her grandmother's vanity. They do not have a lot of family heirlooms, so this was a very special moment that Jen was able to capture on film!
Glitter Girl helped show us how to use a pre-existing layout to create a pocket page quickly! She allowed last weeks page to guide things like colors, papers, and embellishments! This page is part of her "40 Weeks" album she has been creating, which is a pregnancy album of sorts, but also includes daily life.
Melanie Blackburn took some more color inspiration from our May moodboard for her beautiful layout! We always like to see the way that Melanie plays with layers, as it is something she loves to do on her layouts! She included some words of wisdom for her daughters on vellum, and we love that it helped to keep the overall softness on the page!
Jen Gallacher was back with another "Make it Meaningful". This week she scrapped a photo from her son's birthday in 2002. Once again, Jen kept with brighter colors, reminding us that scrapping history/heritage does not mean you shouldn't work in color!
Laura shared with us a pocket page that she created sharing a photo of her husband, son, and his grandfather. These were special pictures for Laura to scrap, as they are the only ones that she currently has of them all together! She found lots of inspiration in the bright colors from Bella Blvd's new Summer Squeeze collection!
Jill took on a different approach to the history/heritage theme this month. She chose to scrap a photo of her daughter meeting Sherry Day, a woman who made history. This week, Jill kept her elements light, airy, and focused on adventure!
Marcy snapped a picture of her son snuggling his teddy bear, and was immediately reminded of a similar photo she had taken when he was only about one. This is one of the things Marcy loves most about Project Life, that it allows you to capture those little things about everyday life.
Be sure to share with us all of your special Moments in our member gallery!!
