Our first week in our new year’s content program was Inspired. In this series we hope to bring you new ideas where we are inspired by not only our month’s theme, but also the month’s moodboard. Each month we will chose a color palette and photos that we group together to create the moodboard. This will help inspire us to create digital products, our in house manufactured products as well as the design team projects. Our moodboard is shared here on the blog as well as on Pinterest.
For each month the of this year we will feature a theme. We based these themes on the reason why we scrapbook. What caused us to start scrapbooking and recording our lives in the first place. What are the top 12 reasons why we do this. This month our theme is Family. We felt that this was a perfect place to start; most people will say that they are scrapbooking because they are recording their family’s memories. Throughout this month we will focus on this theme.
For this week’s projects we asked our Garden Girl design team to create layouts and project videos that were reflective of the moodboard and the theme. That’s all we asked. Just show how you are inspired by these 2 things. Sometimes that is all it takes to get motivated to create something.
If you like this way of looking at scrapbooking, being inspired by moodboards and the like, you should check out last year’s series called In the Mood to Scrap. in 2013 we published 53 project videos that were based on projects inspired by a moodboard.
We hope that this week has been inspiring to you as well and that our moodboard and projects have given you a great boost to start your creative year!
