During this third week of the month we will just scrapbook. This is the most traditional scrapbooking inspiration for you. Just scrapbooking in its purest form. We all tell pieces of stories with Moments. This is the first day of school, a special date, milestones and other big moments.
Today's Moments Video brought to you by Nancy Damiano:
The Moments video series is about scrapbooking the stories that we need to tell. In this video I walk you through telling your story through design, journaling and choosing the right photos.
The photos from this layout are from our annual Christmas tree farm trip. I could have made a layout about the facts of the day - when, where, how much, how big our tree was. But when I was looking over the pictures what I remember was that these were taken one day after the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary. It took me right back to what I was thinking and feeling that day - profound sadness and gratitude for my family. That's what prompted me to make this layout and share those feelings.
The design was based on our January moodboard. I kept the colors clean and simple, letting the story and photos stand out. The die cut snowflake add an intricate background and winter feel to the layout. Each layer adds dimension and tiny pops of color for an understated feel.

CHALLENGE: Use layered die cuts to make an interesting backdrop for your photos. They can be store bought or made with an electronic cutting machine - just layer and repeat. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
