Laura Craigie here today to share some fun and super easy Christmas gift tags with you.
I thought I would start by sharing with you guys the four tags I created today utilizing an assortment of my washi tape collection. I'll share the creation of two of them below.
I sat down and started by pulling out all my Christmas themed tape, as well as washi in color combos that would work for holiday gifts too. The next thing I did was pull out my 3x4" Project life grid cards to use as the foundation for my tags. I love these because there is no paper trimming involved for me, and when I layer them together like I will show you below they are all the same size, and again, no trimming!
For my first tag I simply covered one card in different washi tapes on a diagonal.
Then I pulled out my favorite Lawn Fawn puffy star dies and cut out three stars from a second plain 3x4 card to layer over top of the first card.
Then I added a label sticker from the October Afternoon Silent Night line, which are perfect for this with their "To/From".
Lastly I simply layered the two together and sewed a stitch around the perimeter of the tag.
For my next tag I took the same idea and just reversed it, and cut the star out of the card with the washi tape and layered it over the plain card. Don't throw out that star negative though, I'll show you a bonus tag with that at the end :)
Lastly, by saving the negative star from the above tag I was able to create a nearly effortless fifth tag, which I attached to a gift that needed wrapping. For additional washi tape fun, I used a red stripe tape to cover the edges of the gift, right over top of the wrapping paper. I love the fun customized look it gives the gift! The back of the star tag I added another label sticker from October Afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you feel inspired to put your washi tape to use this season when it comes to wrapping your gifts.
