Happy new year everyone. Marcy here with some Project Life product inspiration.
If you are jumping on the Project Life bandwagon this year you've more than likely starting to get ready to document this first week. Maybe you've even got your cover page done! (And if you do you're further along than me!).
So, today I wanted to spotlight some items from the shop that I use for my own Project Life that might help you in your journey this year.
First... the basics. Page Protectors.
The shop is full of a wide variety of page protectors that are perfect for Project Life. The example shown here is an American Crafts 12x12 page protector that has a very common orientation familiar to veteran Project Lifers. But there's many other styles and arrangements in the shop as well. American Crafts and Doodlebug have some great styles I hope to implement in my album this year.
I'm totally loving the Project Life albums that I've seen popping up using the @Snap album and Studio Calico Handbook. A smaller size and a great alternative to the large 12x12 albums. They also have some divided page protectors that would make using an album with a smaller size a great option!
So, now to the fun stuff.
Notepads. I love these notepads from Kikkerland. The 4x6 and 3x4 sized ones work great in the Project Life pockets as a background. Perfect for journaling on.
I also grabbed a few notepads from Knock Knock on my last order that will be going into my Project Life stash. I'll be adding this on to my kids art cart and taking the resulting artwork and including it in my album.
Journaling cards. Whether you want physical journaling cards or want to print off your own from a digital file, you can find those in the shop.
I love printables. I can use them over and over. There's more and more printables being added to the digi shop every week.
Physical product is ready to go. You can find a wide variety of journaling cards in the Two Peas shop. Companies like Pebbles, Evalicious, Echo Park, Ormolu, October Afternoon, Studio Calico and more all have many journaling cards to pick from.
Here's a couple of my favs.
Page protectors, notepads and journaling cards are the core of my Project Life pages. The rest is all embellishing. The skies the limit for that part.
Tools. I use my Tiny Attacher on almost every spread. My Cameo also make a regular appearance.
Washi. I love using washi tape on my journaling cards and photos. It's fast and flat, adding little bulk to my pages. There's so many patterns and colors available you're sure to find something you like.
Labels. Label stickers are essential. They're great for adding a little of journaling on a busy photo or card. October Afternoon label stickers are some of my favorites.
Tags. Again, functional and interesting. I usually end up journaling on them. These tags from Dear Lizzy are the perfect combination of embellishment and journaling card.
Alphabets. I don't title a lot of my cards... but when I do I look for small alphabets from companies like October Afternoon and Basic Grey.
Brads and Enamel Dots. I little more chunky but I love using them to add interest and a little pop to my journaling cards. My Mind's Eye and Studio Calico are two of my favorites. My Mind's Eye's Enamel Dots are smooth, while Studio Calico's gems have a bit of a texture to them.
Wood Veneer. Wood Veneer is another one of those "pretty flat" embellishments. From time to time I'll add those to my pockets as well. I usually leave them plain, but they're fun to paint with mists or emboss as well.
Patterned paper. I've just starting appreciating the 6x6 and 8x8 paper pads in the shop. Their small scale patterns are the perfect size for these smaller pockets.
Stamps. There are SO many stamps geared towards Project Life and the everyday. I'm making it a mission of mine to stamp more this year. These Project Life-themed sets are my favs right now.
There's also a date stamp that finds it's way onto every photo or card.
There's a ton of Project Life friendly products in the shop. These are only a few of my favorites. You have a whole year to figure out what you like to add to your pockets! Have fun recording 2013.

thanks for the summary of project life. i can't wait to get started. question though, can you give me the name of the second stamp set photographed? i have to try to get my hands on that stamp set.
thanks again,
