My name: Lilith Eeckels
About me: I was born in Belgium on January 26th 1979. As a child I grew up in South Africa but my family moved to the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg when I was 12. I got married in 2000 and am currently living in the South of Belgium near Bastogne. I have the Belgian nationality but am South African at heart and miss my home country every day. I started scrapbooking just after I got married as I wanted to make a special album. It become an "addiction" 5 years ago and I can't see myself not playing with paper. As I work full-time and have 4 kids aged between 3 and 9, I have to be very organised. I have always been a planner and this helps me to find time to scrapbook.
About my family: I got married in 2000 and my husband and I have been blessed with 4 sweet but mischievous boys: Damien and Noé (9 years old), Robin (6) and Elouan (3). They can be found on most of my layouts.
About my style: I usually make 12*12 layouts. I have always found it hard to define my style and just call it Lilith style. I love trying out new techniques and changing things once in while. I do like white space and I love layering. I love making mini albums too but as they are timing consuming I often create them during my holidays.
My top 5 papercrafting essentials: My cameo. I love this machine and even though I don't like spending too much money on machines I thought it'd be a good investment and it was. Paper: I love pretty designs and the versatility of it. Mists/inks: before buying mists I had a bottle of India Ink and used that to make splatters. I love adding them to my layouts. Foam dots: If I don't have any I panic. I love having elements pop up off my pages! Photos: It might not be a papercrafting essential but I couldn't start if I didn't have a photo that meant something special to me. It doesn't have to be a perfect photo but a snapshot of a perfect, unforgettable memory.
On any given day you might find me in my office. The only time I can work is in the evening! I prepare my lessons and once that is done I squeeze in some me time.
My debut Garden layout: In 2013 I wish for...
