The January theme the Garden Girls were assigned to scrap was "365/Everyday." Here are 10 tips we've collected from their pages! We hope these make you want to get out your date stamp and favorite photos as much as we do!

1. Number your photos and create a numbered journaling list like Amy Tan and Jen Gallacher. No in-depth storytelling is needed for these kind of in-review pages. "This is My Wonderful Life" by Amy Tan & "2012" by Jen Gallacher
2. Selecting photos to capture a window in time like a month or year can be tricky.
Choose close-up images, as well as far-away shots to add variety and interest. "Flew by" by Elizabeth Kartchner
4.
Hold yourself accountable to taking photos regularly by playing along in a photo challenge, working through a photo prompt list, or taking part in a photography class or group. Janna Werner follows the photographer
fatmumslim on Instagram and participates in her
photo-a-day challenge using the hashtag #fmsphotoaday.

6.
Check the B sides. Theme-y products that don't work for your subject? Just flip those patterned papers over! The black and white diagonal stripe belonged to a Halloween paper pack.
"(almost) everyday by Shannon Tidwell
7.
Fit it all in. Jill's page is stuffed (literally!) with good stuff. Her page is proof you can use a lot of photos without compromising journaling; she's tucked notes into these Studio Calico calendar pockets.
"Z 2012" by Jill Sprott
Bakers twine and clothespins could be used for a million different things, but Lynn has made them work to showcase their family's everyday life photos on this page looking back at 2012.
"The Good Stuff" by Lynn Ghahary
And that concludes our 10 tips - we hope you find them helpful! Don't forget our Garden Girl blog hop giveaway is open through Monday - you could win a spot in Julie's Journey Into Card Making workshop!
