Hello Peas and Happy Monday! Today we are looking at one of my favorite trends - ombre! This graduation of tones in color can be spotted all over - from nail art, to hair, to home decor - and today we'll see it in papercrafting too! Take a look at how these talented scrapbookers are creating ombre effects on their layouts:
Star Wars Love by neroliskye
Neroliskye put her watercolors to work! Try painting on a couple scrap pieces to practice and perfect the look you want.
Sweet Like Sugar by amandaresende
This look is gorgeous all on its own, but you can certainly add pops of color and elements for a fun, playful look like Amanda did here.
OC Snaps by Nancy Damiano
Nancy has arranged columns of paper scraps in a rainbow of colors to create an interesting block of pattern, giving weight to the lower half of her page. You can watch a video on how this layout came together here.
Ahoy by kinseywilson
There is double the ombre here - both in Kinsey's background paper and her punched circles!
A few ways of creating this look for yourself? Try using mists, stamps, paper, paint ... the options are endless really. Line up tints in the same hue and marvel at the graduation of color. Have you tried this look on a project? We'd love to see! Just let us know in the comments below. - Jamie
